A. Red wood box containing the three treasures of Nanyang.  The box contains pokerwork chopsticks, Dunshan Jade, and "Chu Shi Biao."  The interior of the box is a bright orange felt. The University of Northern Iowa president Benjamin J. Allen and Dean Farzad Moussavi visited Shanghai Dianji University.  After visiting, the president of Shanghai Dianji University, Xia Jian Guo gave Allen this gift. B. Book. Chu Shi Biao is a book created by Zhuge Liang.  Zhuge Liange was the Imperial Chancellor of the state of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period of China. C. Nanyang pyrograph chopsticks. Pyrography is an art technique that consists of burning a design on the surface of an object with a heated metallic point. D.  Three pieces of Dushan Jade.  Two of the objects are spheres and one is a bracelet. Dushan Jade is a classic Chinese "jade," and highly valued in Chinese culture.  Jade bracelets, specifically, are worn by older Chinese women for positive energy and protection from evil spirits.  It is common in Chinese culture for mothers to gift jade to their daughters. E. Certificate. Gem and Jade Identification Certificate.  A gem and jade identification certificate is a document issued by a licensed gemological laboratory. The authentication certificate is for the three pieces of Dushan Jade.
