Black etched plate with six gold llamas. The plate was give to President Robert Koob, the eight president of the University of Northern Iowa. The gift was given to Koob from the University of Tarapacá, a university in Arica, Chile. On the plate it states in Spanish, "En reconocimiento a la fructifera colaboración interinstitucional." This is translated to, "In recognition of the fruitful interinstitutional collaboration." It also states on the plate that the collaboration took place in September of 1998. Six gold llamas can also be found on the front of the plate. The plate itself has a splattered texture on the front while smooth on the back.
