2022-27-14 (Bird Figure)

Head and neck of a bird carved from wood. The head is slender and teardrop shaped with an unknown white material (possibly bone or plastic meant to imitate bone) used to form a pointed beak, narrow pointed eyes, and a decorative crest that comes up from the center of the head. The neck starts at the base of the head as a thin cylinder then flares out and flattens as it curves down to the bottom. The largest part of the neck is scoop shaped with the front bulging upwards in the center and the back curving in. The front has decorative inlays made from the same white material used on the head; several small circles and ovals are arranged to look like a necklace with a "pendant" shaped somewhat similarly to a fleur de lis in the center; along the flat edge at the bottom is a row 7 of vaguely floral shapes. The back is stained but unfinished, leaving the wood rough to the touch. There are two metal prongs protruding from the bottom of the figure, likely meant to attach to a larger object which is not present.
