This top bell portion of the instrument is affixed to an 18 1/2 cm long, cylindrical wooden handle; the handle has decorative gold metal plating nailed into each end. On the bottom of the handle is a metal hoop through which a gold-colored cord has been looped, attached to the cord are 5 ribbons, one light blue, one tan, one red, one white, and one yellow, the ribbons are approximately 93 cm long.
