3"x1.75" Photo - Tower and Headquarters - Fort Sheridan, Illinois.  The Fort Sheridan military base was commissioned in 1887 and was used until 1993.  Designed to resemble St. Mark's Campanile in Venice.  The large tower, as seen in the picture, is now used for water storage.  The photo itself is a photo taken of a postcard.  In 1942, Grogan Photo Company (located in Danville, Illinois) came out with a series of postcards that were taken in the Fort Sheridan Military base.  Each postcard shows a portion of the base, and then labels the photograph with the description of what was taking place.  In this case, the original postcard showed the military base itself.  This correlates with the written words on the postcard as it states, "Tower and Headquarters Fort Sheridan, Illinois."
