3"x1.75" Photo - Main Gate - Fort Sheridan, Illinois. The photo itself is a photo taken of a postcard. In 1942, Grogan Photo Company (located in Danville, Illinois) came out with a series of postcards that were taken in the Fort Sheridan Military base. Each postcard shows a portion of the base, and then labels the photograph with the description of what was taking place. In this case, the original postcard showed the main gate of the base. This correlates with the written words on the postcard as it states, "Main Gate Fort Sheridan, Illinois."
