Object 2024-3-28 has multiple components.

C) Handstitched. Part of the supra garb for women dancers. The supra is a festival with lots of food and drinking, especially Georgian wine. Worn by women performers at more formal versions of the supra, with the performances telling traditional Georgian love stories. Women tend to stand still while male dancers do acrobatic-like dances around them. The corresponding male garb for this dance is item 2024-3-23. This dress was made by a Georgian seamstress who makes these dresses for Georgian dance companies. The white color of the ensemble symbolizes purity. The more beaded side of the headband is the front and the veil goes over the top of the head and hangs down the back. The headband is gray and silver patterned with various pearl styles sewn on for decoration. The fabric of the veil is white tulle with white sparkles.
