The part which rests over the head resembles a cap and is thicker material. Immediately below the cap on the front panel is a band of embroidery, done in gold thread, curving around an oblong hexagon (length 5 1/4", width 2 1/4"). This hexagon exhibits drawn-work embroidery which enables the wearer to see through. Below the hexagon there are six embroidered "branches" with 5 "leaves" on each. At the bottom edge of the front panel is a 6" wide band of embroidery with scalloped edges - depicting flowers and leaves. On the front panel, around the hexagon, the stitching which attaches a 10 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangular lining to the inside is visible. Color: GD |
