2	1971.27.3	Buttonhook	This piece is used for shoe buttons. Short, metal buttonhook with a looped handle. Has some brown discoloration along the base of the handle and the length of the tool.
3	1974.38.13	Kit	Toilet kit that was used to hold men's grooming and shaving materials. A. Black case with metal handle, lock, and hinges. H: 3", L: 8.5", W: 6". B. Foldable razor with ivory handle. Used for shaving. C. Leather stopper. D. Black leather casing for leather stopper. E. Silver dish with lid on hinges, rectangular and bulging at the top. F. Red soap that has been clearly worn down by use. G. Wooden brush with horse hair bristles. H. Bone tube that contains a shaving brush. I. Screw on lid to bone tube. J. Shaving brush with horse hair bristles. K. Ivory brush with horse hair bristles. Has a lion printed on the handle and says "London Improve" and "Extra Quality" around the lion. L. Glass bottle used to hold lotion. M. Silver cap to glass bottle. N. Thin rectangular lid. O. Thin rectangular lid, shorter than N. P. Rectangular mirror with a black leather casing.
4	1974.38.6	Buttonhook	Buttonhook with wooden handle. Handle wooden in a dark brown color with an impressed stamp near where the end of the handle tapers off. The stamp reads "Royal Bengal" with the face of a cat.
5	1977.48.1	Razor	Finely honed steel blade; lower blade tang stamped, "TONSORIAL GEM", reverse stamped, "F.A. CLAUBERG, NEW YORK, MADE IN GERMANY". A finger groove located at end of blade tang. Blade folds into ivory handle, riveted construction.
6	1982.4.4A	Buttonhook	Metal buttonhook with a hammered pattern on the handle. This button hook is identical to button hook b, but the hook curves out slightly more on this particular hook.

8	1982.4.4C	Buttonhook	Foldable, metalbutton hook . One side has the inscription, "The Walk-Over Shoe" while the other side is inscripted with "Gitchell-Douglass Company."

12	1989.43.670	Mirror	Small, round, metal hand mirror with handle. Has an embossed design on the handle and the backside of the mirror, surrounding the outer edge.
13	1989.43.685	Razor	Foldable razor with a long, black handle. The words "George Wostenholm & Sons" are stamped into the base of the blade.
14	1989.43.686	Whetstone	Rectangular. Paper case is blue with white lettering. Color: RD;WH,BL
15	1989.43.744	Blades	Double-edged razor blades, 20 for 25 cents. 20 in a box.
16	1989.43.746	Tweezer	Metal tweezers with a pin hinged style. Circular handles. Semi-circular at the end meant to grasp and tweeze nose hair. Each arm has three, bracket style engraving on the edges, down the length of the tweezer arms.
17	1990.44.12	Razor	All metal. The handle screws onto the blade holder to tighten in the blade. Blade holder has 14 metal teeth per side.
18	1992.22.42	Mirror	Metal hand mirror embossed with 2-headed eagle surrounded by floral and foliage pattern.
19	2016-24-6A	Comb	Small comb with carved dog handle. Details of collar and fur painted on the handle.
20	2020-23-12	Shoe Horn	Shoe horn given to the donor by Erma Plaehn. Erma taught at UNI from 1936 to 1973 (Lab School). The horn is made of an early plastic and is red/orange on one side and grey on the other. The donor, Marian Krogmann, joined the Political Science Department faculty in 1967, and retired in 1995.

There are three rows of bristles, manufacture box for packaging has one open end for handle and a window to see bristles of brush written on wooden brush handle, "Industries for the Blind."
