Reserved for the chief only, the high back 'stool' in human shape features a bust portrait with carved head and neck that has been adorned with beaded necklace. Carved from a single piece of hard wood, the bust portion of the chair comprises the seat back. A circular hole in the center of the rounded seat and the three curvilinear legs of the stool, with raised decoration of vertical linear pattern carvings, rests on a convex base. |
