2 2017-16-117A Notice A folded pamphlet style notice, “Notice of Assessment and Annual Report of the Farmers’ Mutual Aid Association of Tama County, Iowa,” that details how much a policy holder owes and includes a report on the status of the association’s finances. The letter reports that Miss Mitchell is performing below average in three subjects: Introduction to Education, English 1, and Inorganic Chemistry 1. 8 2017-16-38B Letter A letter from Christina Owens to C.T. Mitchell, on preprinted letterhead. The letterhead reads “Farmers’ Mutal Aid Association, O.O. Owens, Secretary, W. G. Malin, President, P. Muirhead, Treasurer.” The body of the letter concerns Christina Owens’ late status report, her wages, and her requests for reimbursement of school-related expenses, involving lumber and cloth, from the social fund. 10 2017-16-39B Letter A letter to Chas. Wellik, Cashier, from Geo. M. Bechtel, on preprinted letterhead for Geo. M. Bechtel & Co., Bankers. In the letter, Bechtel notes that he does not know whether the school board for Geneseo Independent School District No. 6 voted on a recent proposition. 11 2017-16-39C Letter A handwritten letter in pencil to Geo. M. Bechtel Co. from C.T. Mitchell, dated April 21, 1914. In the letter, C.T. Mitchell responds that the issue was voted on, approved, and also notes that the first round of schoolhouse bids were rejected due to being too costly. 12 2017-16-39D Letter A handwritten letter in black ink to Geo. M. Bechtel & Co. from C.T. Mitchell, dated April 28, 1914. In the letter, C.T. Mitchell politely informs Geo. M. 13 2017-16-56 Invoice A bill from Farmers Lumber Co. in Traer, Iowa to Claude Mitchell, dated June 4, 1919. The bill has a note written on it as follows, “Mr. Mitchell: Christina got this lumber for the sand table and it’s to be paid from the money raised by her social, which she deposited in the name of the school district.
