UNIM1994.10.19.26A (Tablecloth)

a. Square-shaped tablecloth made from off-white fabric, part of set UNIM1994.10.19.26a-e. Feather stitching creates a border. Each side is a different color (one blue, one green, one red, one orange). A design is stitched in each corner.

Red and orange corner: A man stitched in red, blue, brown, and orange, wearing a blue scarf with horizontal red, yellow, green, and orange stripes and green tassels and a yellow sombrero with green accents. He is holding a guitar stitched in brown and yellow thread. Small music notes are stitched in black beside his face to represent singing. One leg is propped up on a small hill with a cactus; both the hill and the cactus are stitched in green.

Orange and blue corner: A chain of oblong hexagons, 6 total (a smaller variant is featured on napkins b-e). Cross-stitched using blue, green, red, yellow, orange, and brown thread. The hexagon nearest to the orange side is only half done.

Blue and green corner: A woman stitched in brown wearing a flamenco dress stitched from green, red, yellow, orange, and blue. Black thread is used for her hair. She wears a yellow sombrero with red accents and orange heeled boots. Another sombrero, also in yellow with red accents, sits near her left foot. Grass, stitched in green, is beside her right foot.

Green and red corner: Another chain of oblong hexagons, 7 total. Cross-stitched in yellow, red, blue, green, orange, and brown thread. The hexagon nearest to the red side is only half done.
