A plastic, black dip pen with a silver nib. The back of the nib reads "R. Esterbrook & Co. - 702 - School Medium Firm." A dip pen, unlike a fountain pen, must continuously re-dip into ink while writing in order to replenish the ink on the pen. This particular nib was targeted towards school children.
