Large section on upper left portion of note has exfoliated and the printing is gone. Emblem, with coat of arms andwith "MERCY" and "JUSTICE" appearing in ribbon, in upper center of note. "Acc[ordin]g to an Act of Ge-/[neral Aff]embly of Pennfil-[vania ?]fed in the 13th Year/of [the R]eign of his Majesty/ GEO[RGE] the Third. Dated/ the 1st Day of October, 1773". Signed by Benjamen Morgan, Barnaby Barnes. Hand numbered "1417". Reverse (portrait): Ornanented borders. "To Counterfeit is Death." One Shilling & Six pence." "Printed by Hall and/Sellers."
