Color drawing of the human body on the inside cover page. There are also photos of various ailments and accidents. There are 25 chapters in the book ranging from suffocation, unconsciousness, seizures, brain injuries, effects of heat and cold, lightning, fractures, dislocations, wounds, accidents from machines, bleeding, poisoning, descriptions of poisonous plants, nightmares, earaches, how to bandage, disinfectants and signs of death. The outside of the book is a faded green color. At the top of the cover written in black are the words ACCIDENTS AND EMERGENCIES/ DULLES". Below that is a drawing of a human shoulder and arm that are being fixed from dislocation. At the bottom left written in black is "SEVENTH EDITION".
