Consists of various story poems such as Bunny Bunting, Red Hen and Brown Fox, Mother Hubbard, Jack Horner, Humpty Dumpty, Bo Peep, etc. The outside cover is brown with a black line going around it to form a box. Inside the box the title is written in black. Under this is a drawing of what looks like Mother Goose. She is standing in profile inside an oval. At her feet is a white goose holding a staff. The background is yellow on the top half and black on the bottom half. Under the oval is "Coe and Christie" written in black. The spine reads "Primer - Story Hour Readers" "American Book Company" all in black. The back cover shows a small book lying open with the lette4rs "B" and "C" on the open pages. On each side of the book is a wing. In the center of the book is a staff that is taller than the book and has light shining from the top. The front and back inside cover is made of dark and light green squares. All the dark squares have a drawing in them, some people, but mostly animals. Some of the pictures are outlined in pencil.
