The blade has a decorative flourish to its shape and on one side there is an etched floral design, the other side of the blade is plain except for a stamp the reads "H F * S EP", likely denoting manufacturer, quality, and materials of the object. The handle has a simple decorative design and ends in a piece of mother of pearl.
