Valetine's card. The cover has a red ribbon tied as binding on the lefthand side, an embossed illustration of four doves carrying cards flying through a heart shaped window, and the embossed words, "Valentine Wishes." The inside reads, "This day is dedicated to joy and friendship. I wish you full measure of both." Signed, P. L. H. The back simply says, "Harry Barck."
Harry Barck was the secretary for the District Board of Education for Eddy #6 school, Cedar Falls Township, Black Hawk County, Iowa. He married Pauline Heckel, a teacher for rural schools in Bremer County and an Iowa State Normal School alumna. They had two children, Philip and Frances, who donated this item as part of the Harry Barck collection.
