This is a Mexican mask that has been carved to portray an old man. This mask is possibly a Viejo mask from the traditional Viejitos dance. It could also be a hermit mask, or Juan Blanco mask. This mask is painted a porcelain pink skin color. It contains two carved eye holes with painted eyebrows and eyes above and below it. The nose is large and nostrils are painted lower on the nose. There is a long black mustache above the mouth. The mouth is carved open and two white teeth are carved from the wood to be shown at all times. There is a painted black beard with some indentations present.
