Wooden frame with six compartments covered with glass. Sectioned symetrically top and bottom, each with 3 compartments, respectively. Top half has one large compartment on right and two compartments separated horizontally on left. Top left compartment has a black domino now loose but at one time glued number side to the back of the compartment. Back of domino has eagle holding 6 arrows in feet. Below this compartment is another, slightly larger, 2/3 filled with seed corn. Top right compartment has white, red, white felt background overlaid with a blue bell with a silver star on it. Bottom half asymetrically divided. Right side takes up 1/3 and has a wooden cylinder attached to base. Cylinder has hole drilled vertically down center. Red & white dried flowers are inserted in hole. Bottom left compartment is split symetrically horizontally. Upper compartment has white felt background overlaid with red "1776". Lower compartment has blue felt background overlaid with red "1976". On back is pasted upside down a typed explanation of box. "This ecology box was produced by students of Unit IV of Price Lab School in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The purpose of this project was to give the students an appreciation of our American heritage as well as expose them to the responsiblilites of mass production and recycling." MPLS.
