2003.16.13 (Textile, Ceremonial)

Rectangular shape, composed of two sections hand-sewn together in the middle with white thread. Edges have a striping pattern that runs lengthwise down the textile while the center contains several repeating geometric patterns. One end of the textile has a repeating pattern that alternates between heart and diamond shapes. The fringe on the ends is short with a blue and white braid embroidered approximately one inch above the fringe. Some design implements resemble 2003.16.4. Betty LaDuke's book, Women Artists: Multicultural Visions" indicates that this design is Chinese and N. Vietnamese in origin (6). Color: CR,RD,BR,YL,BL
