These 7 pages of seatwork papers were sent to Miss Slyvia Brockschink in Watkins, Iowa, from the Benton County Superintendent's Office in November, 1935.
The first page has a poem, We Are Thankful! by Claude Weimer, with a drawing of turkeys, hay, and a pumpkin. The second page contains instructions on how to make a Thanksgiving basket. The third page includes instructions on how to make "Bozo the Twine Dog." The fourth and fifth pages contain the story, "I am Thankful Because-" about a thankful bear. The sixth page has some poems and quotes about fall and Thanksgiving. The last page contains a notice from Ella M. Mehlhaus that the next teachers meeting is to be held at the school building, Vinton.
