The front cover has sticker that reads, "Property of Sylvia (Brockschink) Schulte Welch's System Classification, Graduation, and Close Supervision Permanent Record and Duplicate Reports School and Township Reports Excelsior School 1892-1900."
Sylvia Jane Brockschink Schulte, born in Norway, Benton County, attended Iowa State Teacher's College, and taught in rural and elementary schools near Walford, Iowa. After nine years of teaching she shifted to a long career with local 4H clubs.
