This mask is a Mblo portrait mask from the Baule people. It is made of wood and is very smooth. The mask face features two closed eyes painted white, a long thin nose, an open circular mouth and ears. There is a small beard at the chin and carved symbols beside the nose. On top of the head is carved dark hair with horizontal and diagonal lines. There is a red line that wraps around the head. Sitting on the hair is a pot carved out of the same wood. It is painted red.
