2021-22-14 (Poster)

This poster was from the front page of the Des Moines Sunday Register published in Section Nine on December 6, 1942, commemorating the one year anniversary of Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941). The image is titled, "America Remembers 'a Date Which Will Live in Infamy'" and features an old man (presumably Uncle Sam) carring a Navy solider through clouds and smoke, while a mass of army soldiers march beneath him. The smoke comes from a red burning sign at the bottom of the image that reads, "Pearl Harbor Dec 7" 1941" which is representative of how the US joined WWII after the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japan.
