2021-22-237B (Card)

Homemade card from a student to their teacher. The cover reads, "To my Third Grade Teacher Miss Holland" written in orange and red crayon, with a drawing of a teacher and two students, labeled "me" and "Rosemary". The first inside page has a drawing of a heart with an arrow through it and three pairs of feet inside it. The second page has a drawing of a large hreat and several smaller, red hearts, with an arrow through each. The letter reads, "Miss Holland, I am sure that we will all miss you very much, at least I will. I will write you letters to you every month. Love your student, Jeanette Solbery." The card is part of a larger collection in an envelope labeled "May 1961, Third Grade students, Vinton Iowa", which contains several pieces of art from students wishing Miss Holland luck on marriage but they're sad she was moving away.
