Object 2023-12-2 has 3 parts (A-C). Porcelain jar was a gift from President Xia of SUES (Shanghai University of Engineering Science) to University of Northern Iowa President Mark A. Nook. The gift was given to President Nook at the signing of the "2 + 2 partnership" agreement with SUES in October 2019.
2A) Round porcelain jar. Gets wider at the middle and narrower at the top and bottom. Bottom and top each have 2 cm of aluminum rim. In the middle is white porcelain with blue designs. Designs include fish, lobsters, flowers, water, and script. The top and bottom of the porcelain have borders of repeating curlicues or flowers. The inside of the jar is white porcelain. The bottom is aluminum.
