Large, rolled home education scroll teaching basic methods of writing, language, phonetics, music notation, geography, biology, math, agriculture, and business. Top of the scroll reads "The Home Education." Rolled on two wooden rods. This scroll was most likely used in a fold-out desk or drawing board, where it could be put into a mechanism that allowed the student to turn a knob to roll to different parts of the scroll. These scroll desks were popular during the first several decades of the twentieth century.
