Black and white photograph from World War II. Shows three American soldiers standing on the back half of a fallen Nazi aircraft which is right side up. At least one of the soldiers is a private. They appear to be in the Army. All appear in good spirits and one has his hand on the vertical stabilizer of the aircraft that sports a swastika. The numbering on the plane is not clear but the last three numbers appear to be "353" with three more numbers before those. Multiple punctures in the aircraft are visible and there appears to be some damage to the vertical stabilizer also. The Luftwaffe's balkenkreuz ("beam cross") symbol is partially visible at the edge of the photograph. This symbol was first used in World War I and was used again by the Nazi Luftwaffe during World War II. Back of the photograph has watermark for "Agfa-Lupex," the name of a photograph printing company in Germany.
