The watermark is barely visible in the center of the back side. Photograph is printed on a thick cardstock paper. The photograph shows a wooden fence in the foreground. A grouping of buildings are in the midground, some of which are white and others are wooden. A line of evergreen trees are some distance behind the buildings. Snow-capped mountains are in the distance. The back of the photograph has the history of the picture written in cursive in German. Each corner on the back side has pieces removed that appear to be from it being attached to another surface previously. One rip is along the top edge.
