2024-1-23 (Patch)

Military patch from the 10th Mountain Division during World War II. This division of the U.S. Army was founded on July 10, 1943 as the 10th Light Division (Alpine). They were trained in Colorado and then Texas. They were re-designated as the 10th Mountain Division on November 6th, 1944 and were deployed to Italy to fight the Axis. The patch is a rectangle shape with the long edges curved outward. The border is white with the inside being blue. Two red swords are crossed and outlined in white. The colors are true and the white thread is only slightly discolored.
