Georgian book. Gold patterned hard cover with blue and red inlaid. The center has a depiction of a man fighting a tiger in the gold inlaid. The back cover has a pattern in the gold. The spine has the same gold patterning including a gold cord affixed to the top and bottom ends of the spine. The top of these cords is only attached by its ends, but the bottom end is fully attached. The upper half of the spine has a small dent. The inside covers have gold sparkly patterned paper. Inside the front cover is a depiction of the Icon of Ancha. It was created by Beka Opizari in 1184-1293, called Our Savior of Anchiskhati. The Anchiskhati Basilica is the oldest Greek Orthodox church in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The next page has a depiction of a painting of Shota Rustaveli, a Georgian poet and author of the Georgian national epic, translated as "The Knight in the Tiger Skin". The story in the book is "The Knight in the Tiger Skin", written in Georgian script with a few page-sized depictions of artworks. A few blank pages with just the red page border are at the end of the book. The final page is a depiction of the artwork, the Vardzia Icon of the Virgin from the 10th century. The back covers have gold sparkly patterned paper matching the front inside cover. Inside the front cover was a small white card with a shiny gold border on both sides. The back side has a seal on it in shiny gold. The front side says "Whith best wishes" and "Metropolitan of Poti and Rhobi", an Orthodox monastery. This card is in the source file.  This was a gift to the former U.S. Ambassador (Kelly Degnan, 2020-2023) who donated it to a third party upon leaving Georgia.
