Along both sides at bottom there are 2 parallel carved lines extending 8 1/2" from bottom of flute on each side. Between lines are carved rectangular lines wider separated by uncarved space. Remaining 1 1/8" yarn is yellow, red, orange and outer rows again yellow. Chevron pattern in outer edge. On back ribs covered with yarn run from corner diagonally to opposite corner.
