RSC-California-6 (Post Card)

Unused post card showing the Ghost Town School that's current at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. The school was originally built near Beloit, Kansas in 1979. It was named the Iowa School No.  83 in honor of its inhabitant's home state. The school was bought and moved to Knotts Berry Farm in 1952. The photo shows a woman dress in a white blouse and long skirt teaching from a book to a class of children. A few student's names written on their chalkboards are visible to the camera, including Inez Breckon, Minnie Thompson, and Richard Tree. The chalkboard up front shows the full name of the school, explains what school was like in 1800's, and has a few exercises for English and math.
