RSC-California-7 (Post Card)

Unused post card showing the Ghost Town School that's current at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. The caption reads: "This school house was originally erected near Beloit, Kansas in the year of 1879 and was named the Iowa School District in the honor of the home state of the local inhabitants. It was purchased and re-re-erected in 1952 by Knott's Berry Farm, Buena Park, California." The photo shows the school surrounded by a white picket fence with a flagpole flying the American flag, and a windmill nearby. The school itself is made of wood, has a plaque with its name and opening year, and a small bell tower with a bell. A teacher and a group of 7 young kids are standing just outside the school's open doorway, smiling for the camera.
