Merit card for Mary Simpson from her teacher, J. C. Swing. The front has a pink decorative border on the left and right sides and an illustration of a woman in a pink dress reading with two children on a green hill. All coloring was done post printing and often goes outside the image's lines. The back reads, "Head of class No. 2 4 times."
