RSC-KO-6 (Photograph)

Black and white photo of 5 women outside of a brick schoolhouse. A plaque above the school's door reads "District No. 1 A.D. 1889.' The women are standing behind a white fence, near a seesaw and other play equipment. They're wearing long coats, scarves. One woman has cat-eye style glasses, and another is wearing saddle shoes. The photo has decorative wavy edges. The back has a stamped address for Iowa State Teachers College professor, Mary Ellen Dreier (née Shanafelt). She lived across from Seerley Hall around the 1950's and had attended rural schools around Sigourney, IA growing up.
