RSC-Ohio-150 (Certificate)

Elementary School Life Certificate for Ohio given to Helen Carrol, on June 26th, 1923 at Columbus, Ohio. It has a gold stamp from the state board of school examiners and signatures from the superintendent of public instruction, the president of the state board of school examiners, and several clerks. It had very minor decoration aside from an illustration near the center that shows several American flags, a stone schoolhouse, a government building, and a valley with bundles of a crop. 

From top to bottom it reads, "In the name and by the Authority of The State of Ohio, The State Board of School Examiners hereby issues this Elementary School Life Certificate to Helen Carroll, Who has been found to possess the Requisite Scholarship, and who has exhibited satisfactory evidence of Good Moral Character, Ability, and Experience as an Elementary School Teacher. This certificate of Qualifications shall supersede the necessity of any and all other elementary examinations by any Board of Examiners and shall be valid in all the Elementary Schools of any School District in the State of Ohio. Dated at Columbus, Ohio this 26th day of June, nineteen hundred twenty-three." It is also marked as a state provisional certificate.
