1895 teacher's certificate for H. F. Phillips from Athens County, Ohio. Given August 31st, 1895, and was valid for two years. Printed by the Valley Register Print, Nelsonville, Ohio. The middle of the certificate includes the student's exam scores and signatures from the president of the board of examiners and one clerk. The bottom of the certificate is separated by a perforated line and was meant to act as a duplicate for the clerk of the board of education but was never detached. Certificate has a decorative green border and was printed exclusively in green ink.
