This paper has a photocopy of the Lenox No. 3 School's (Excelsior) in Taylor County, Iowa first building from 1859-1880. E. Henry Brockschink is siting on the steps, behind him was Bertha Brecht (Cramer). From Left to Right: standing in the long row: (Unknown), Teacher, Matilda Vette (Mrs. William Bierman), Amilda Scholeman (Mrs. Frank Conklin), Annie Schleuter, (3 Unknown children), Henry Bierman, Arthur Brockschink, (Unknown), (first name unknown) Jones, (first name unknown) Jones. The photograph was taken either in 1879 or 1880.  This school was 4 miles south and 1/4 mile east of Norway, Iowa. The school was built in 1859 and had been used for church services by members of Jasper Colony (Swedenborgians) from 1859-1880, for storage, and had been the home of Charles and Minnie Uthoff, and was eventually torn down in 1976.
