McClenahan, in Des Moines on August 1, 1919. Includes results of the teacher examination. The back shows this certificate was made valid for Ringgold County, from Sept. 29, 1919, as well.

14 2018-28-6 List Titled "Credits rec'd of B. F. Clark, Sept. Shannon City, Union County, Iowa, 5/30/1916." Signed by Georgianna Speelman. The paper lists a dozen subjects, how many credits they were worth, and the earned score for each. Written in ink on lined paper. 
15 RSC-TY-1 Drawing This paper has a drawing of the 3rd Building of Excelsior School in Lenox township in Taylor County, Iowa. It was sold in 1946 for $500 and torn down. The drawing is of the East side of the building and was drawn by Sylvia J. Schulte in 1994. She makes note of the coal shed on the Northwest corner of the school that was attached to the building, the cement foundation which was in place from 1912-1946, as well as the cement foundation beneath the steps on the porch, the cedar shingles, and the chimney. She drew this in blue ink and did shading with pencil, and also attached a plastic American flag to the front of the porch in the drawing. RSC-TY-1 (Drawing) image
16 RSC-TY-2 Photograph This paper has a photocopy, which has been drawn over in ink and pencil, of the 3rd building of the Excelsior School House in Taylor County, Iowa from 1912-1946. 17 RSC-TY-3 Paper This paper has a photocopy of the Lenox No. 3 School's (Excelsior) in Taylor County, Iowa first building from 1859-1880. E. Henry Brockschink is siting on the steps, behind him was Bertha Brecht (Cramer). From Left to Right: standing in the long row: (Unknown), Teacher, Matilda Vette (Mrs. William Bierman), Amilda Scholeman (Mrs. Frank Conklin), Annie Schleuter, (3 Unknown children), Henry Bierman, Arthur Brockschink, (Unknown), (first name unknown) Jones, (first name unknown) Jones. The photograph was taken either in 1879 or 1880.  This school was 4 miles south and 1/4 mile east of Norway, Iowa. The school was built in 1859 and had been used for church services by members of Jasper Colony (Swedenborgians) from 1859-1880, for storage, and had been the home of Charles and Minnie Uthoff, and was eventually torn down in 1976.  RSC-TY-3 (Paper) image
