UNIM1989.5.27 (Tool)

Metal ricer typically used to "rice" potatoes, a method used to create fluffier potatoes for recipes. There are two handles attached via a hinge in order to allow for the two to be separated and pressed together, both handles are slotted instead of solid and have an opening at the top for hanging. One handle has a a rounded triangular sieve attached and the other has a solid metal plate used to push food through the sieve when the handles are closed. "CLIMAX; FRUIT AND VEGETABLE; PRESS" Is etched into one side of the sieve. The sieve is held together by welding, some of which has begun to come undone, creating a gap between the side and the bottom.
