2021-22-256 (Card)

Homemade card from a student. The front reads, "To Miss Holland for her Wedding" with a drawing of a bride in yellow and groom in black walking down a red carpet. Inside, the first page simply has a drawing of a red rose with a green stem. The second page features the beginning of a note written in black crayon that reads, "Dear Miss Holland, I know that I have been troblesom to you but I don't think you would mind so much since I came to..." The note finishes on the back page, "school late today because after you find out how I was late you would like it." Signed Rosemary Kueny in brown crayon. The card is made from white paper folded in half. It is part of a larger collection in an envelope labeled "May 1961, Third Grade students, Vinton Iowa", which contains several pieces of art from students wishing Miss Holland luck on marriage but they're sad she was moving away.
