2021-22-257 (Card)

Homemade card from a student to their teacher. The front of card shows a pencil drawing of a married couple at an altar with one guest sitting beside the aisle. It is titled "Just married." The inside of card features a banner across the top with four colored pencil drawings that list a timeline of the teacher's future according, to this student. "Latter: Mrs. is going to have babies" shows a person in a bed, "Latter: The twins are born" shows two tiny green figures, "Latter:: dippers need whashed" shows a blue figure standing next to a basin, and "sons are growed up!" shows two blue figures standing. The banner has a pink trim with bows, all in crayon. The bottom of the page shows a brown car driving away into the night with pans and cans dragging behind it and "Just Married" written on the bumper. The card is a white piece of paper folded in half. It is a white sheet of paper folded into fourths. It is part of a larger collection in an envelope labeled "May 1961, Third Grade students, Vinton Iowa", which contains several pieces of art from students wishing Miss Holland luck on marriage but they're sad she was moving away.
