ISTC belt buckle from the 1950's.  Slightly tarnished on back and front.  Front of the buckle has the letters, "I.S.T.C." embossed.  Was originally purchased at a bookstore sometime between 1948-1950.  The belt (not included) was leather in material and would be threaded through one end of the buckle.  The other end had snaps of some sort for wearing.  Was worn with skirts and slacks that had belt loops.  The acrynonym "I.S.T.C" stands for "Iowa State Teachers College."  The owner of the buckle originally purchased the buckle while attending the Iowa State Teachers College but states that she continued to wear it after graduating in 1952.
