Patch from the Waffen-SS Mountain Troops Cap. This patch is black fabric showing a gray edelweiss with a gold center. These patches were worn on the upper right sleeve of their uniforms. They had the same edelweiss symbol used as a metal pin on their caps because the edelweiss was the symbol of Waffen-SS Gebirgsjäger (SS Mountain Troop). A brown stain is on a few of the flower's petals.
