Waffen-SS collar tab, 11 Freiwilligen Panzergrenadier-Division Nordland. This was a Nazi volunteer division mostly comprised of Scandinavians that was in action beginning in 1940. These collar tabs were worn with one on each side. This patch is the one worn on the soldier's right side. The one on the soldier's left side gave that soldier's rank. The patch is black fabric with the insignia in silver thread in the center. The insignia is the sun cross form of the swastika which was a Nazi political symbol.
