Georgian lechaki headdress, reversible. The word means 'silk veil' and is a traditional Georgian women's headdress. One side is red velvet. The other is a multicolored silk pattern. Tag is attached with twine and has information on it having been made in the Chokhatauri Adult Education Center, a program to provide employment. A black tassel hangs down the back. The slit is placed in the front to allow women to see the ground while walking if they have their eyes covered by it. One of the long ends is wrapped across and hangs down the back. Rather informal headdress worn for more everyday occasions.
