Binding is weak, but pages are all attached. A piece of paper is glued on the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika School Library Book No. 150." Book is 244 pages excluding the appendix. 
2703 2016-FIC-169 Book Strayer-Upton Arithmetics Lower Grades by George Drayton Strayer and Clifford Brewster Upton. Cover is brown with the title written in black. Edges and corners are frayed. Binding is strong and pages are firmly attached. "Frederika No. 3" is written in blue ink across the top of the first page. There are a few markings and notes throughout the pages. Book is 314 pages including the index, but excluding the answers section. The answer portion is an additional 19 pages. 
2704 2016-FIC-170 Book Young Folks' Library of American Story Cortes and Montezuma by Mara L. Pratt. Cover is tan with a red border. Text and border is blue with a simple design. Edges and corners are severly worn and frayed. The binding is broken, but the pages are still together. The second page is torn out. A piece of paper is glued on the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 90." Book is 99 pages. 
2705 2016-FIC-171 Book The Lincoln Readers Primer by Isobel Davidson and Charles J. Anderson. Cover is blue with orange text and an image of two children, one boy and one girl, are in the center. Edges and corners are severly frayed and worn. The cover on the binding is separating from the book. Binding is broken, but the pages are still together. There are images of animals on the interior front and back covers. Some of them have been colored in and outlined in purple. There are notes written on the first couple of pages. Pages are ripped and fragile. Book is 134 pages including the index. 
2706 2016-FIC-172 Book The Learn to Study Readers Book Four-Grade Five by Ernest Horn and Ruth M. Moscrip. Cover si blue with black text and borders. There is an outline of a man riding a horse in the center. Edges and corners are slightly worn. Binding is strong and pages are firmly attached. A piece of paper is glued on the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 11." Black and white images are throughout the pages. Book is 351 pages. 
2707 2016-FIC-173 Book History of Our Country for Higher Grades by Reuben Post Halleck. Cover is red with black text and images. The title and images are in a shield. The pictures are of a ship and plane. There is a stain in the lower right corner. Edges and corners are slighlty worn. Binding is weak and pages are split in two; some are completely detached from the book. There is a piece of paper glued on the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 261." "Property of Frederika No. 3" is written in black above the paper. Book is 538 pages. 
2708 2016-FIC-174 Book Essentials of Geography Second Book by Albert Perry Brigham and Charles T. McFarlane. Cover is green with black text. An image of Christopher Columbus is below the title. Edges and corners are worn. Binding is strong and pages are firmly attached. A map is in between the front cover. A piece of paper is glued onto the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 219." There are a few markings throughout the pages. Book is 426 pages including the index, but excluding the section on Iowa's geography.
2709 2016-FIC-176 Book The United States Among the Nations: The Earth and Its People by Wallace W. Atwood. Cover is brown with dark brown text and borders and four images. There are pictures of men logging, tractors, trains, and buildings. Edges and corners are worn. The bottom and top of the binding is frayed, but the binding is strong and the pages are still attached. There is a piece of paper glued to the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 24." There are a few markings throughout the pages. Book is 262 pages including the index. 
2710 2016-FIC-177 Book The Americas: The Earth and its People Book Two by Wallace W. Atwood. Cover is green with dark green text and four images acting as the border. There are pictures of a farm, mountains, buildings, and an industrial park. Edges and corners are frayed. Binding is weak, but pages are attached. A piece of paper is glued on the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 232." There are a few markings throughout the book. Some pages are torn and ripped out of the book. Book is 316 pages. 
2711 2016-FIC-178 Book Nations Beyond the Sea: The Earth and Its People Book Three by Wallace W. Atwood and Helen Goss Thomas. Cover is blue with dark blue text. There are four images acting as the border. The images are of camels, a car, London, and a river. Edges and corners are severly worn. Binding is weak, but pages are still attached. There is a piece of paper glued to the interior front cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 233." There are a few markings throughout the book. Some of the pages are torn. Book is 352 pages including the index. 
2712 2016-FIC-179 Book A composition book from Cleo Rosemthall. Cover is brown with with black text that says, "National Composition Blanks in Three Numbers." Binding is dark green. Edges and corners are slightly worn. The notes are primarily concerned with Abraham Lincoln. There is a page torn out from a book about Lincoln. Notes fill about half of the notebook. 
2713 2016-FIC-180 Book The Beginnings of the American People and Nation by Mary G. Kelty. Cover is a red/orange and has a picture of a man riding a camel and another one of a soldier playing the drum. The first page says, "Frederika No. 3." The last page has miscellaneous notes. There are a few markings throughout the book. Book is 571 pages including the index. 
2714 2016-FIC-181 Book Song Reader by James M. McLaughlin and W. W. Gilchrist. 153 pp, including index. 11sections, each with several chapters. Contains many different sheets of music from "Christmas, "Auld Lang Syne", Blue Bells of Scotland, etc. There are also sections that show scales, signature keys, etc. The first section describes how one is to teach music to a student. The cover of the book is brown and has faded red writing. There is a detailed design that forms a box that is done in red. In the box is written the title, in red. Under that is a picture of a lyre also done in red. Publisher's name is at the bottom in red. Inside cover has various pencil markings as does the cover page and back cover pages. Written on the front cover page in black in is "I.T. Thursday Miss Grace G. Fencate." The first page says, "Miss Esther M. Perrin N.H.C.S. Miss Edith M. Hansen Cedar Falls, Iowa, Miss Esther M. Perrin, Parkersburg, Ia Age 11-12." Color: BR,RD
2715 2016-FIC-182 Book McMaster's Primary History of the United States by John Bach McMaster. Cover is brown with black text. There is an image of a Native American in the top left corner of the cover. There are some stains on the front cover. Edges and corners are frayed. Binding is strong and the majority of the pages are attached. There are some markings throughout the book. Doodles are drawn on the last page and back interior cover. "Hanover Public School" is written in the top left corner on the last page. 
2716 2016-FIC-183 Book Christmas Plays for One and All by Agnes Curtis. Cover is brown with orange text and a Chirstmas tree. There is a stamp that says, "Crete Public Library Crete, Nebraska." Edges and corners are worn. The top right corner of the cover is torn. The front cover is held together with tape. Pages are still attached together. A stamp that says, "UNI Museums University of Northern Iowa Cedar Falls, IA 50614-0199" is above the title on the first page. "#2806" is written above the stamp. "Crete Public Library Crete, Nebraska" is crossed out in purple crayon on the last page and back cover. Book is 183 pages. 
2717 2016-FIC-184 Book A Practical Grammar: In Which Words, Phrases, and Sentences are Classified According to their Offices by S. W. Clark. Cover is brown, worn, and extremely faded. Portions of the frabic is missing. The binding is black leather with an abbreviated title written in gold. A poem is written on the front interior cover in pencil. The writing in faded, but still legible. Binding is still strong and pages are attached. Pages are fragile and some are torn. There are notes on the last pages, and portions of these pages have been removed. Book is 310 pages including the appendix. 
2718 2016-FIC-185 Book McGuffey's New Fifth Eclectic Reader: Selected and Original Exercises for Schools by Wm. H. McGuffey. Cover is brown with black leather bindings. The cover has a design, but is severly faded. There is an abbreviated title in the center of the cover and on the binding written in gold. Edges and corners are worn. Portions of the binding are detaching, but the pages are firmly attached. Some of the pages' corners are bent and there are markings throughout the book. "Thomas Lou Cedar Falls May 19, 1863" is written on the front and back interior covers. The last page is torn and missing. Book is 334 pages. 
2719 2016-FIC-186 Book McGuffey's New Fourth Eclectic Reader by Wm. H. McGuffey. Cover is brown with black leather binding. The cover is exremely faded and scratched. The binding has experienced severe damage and the pages are barely attached. Edges and corners are extremely faded. Pages are damaged and worn. Book is approximately 216 pages. 
2720 2016-FIC-187 Book McGuffey's Sixth Eclectic Reader 1879 Edition with a Foreward by Henry Steele Commager by Wm. H. McGuffey. Cover is black with yellow, white, and red text with a gold border. Cover has some bents, but the book is in excellent condition overall. A stamp on the interior front cover says, "Property of Regents' Center for Early Developmental Education University of Northern Iowa." The stamp has started to bleed onto the next page. Book is 492 pages.
2721 2016-FIC-188 Book School Economy A Treatise on the Preparation, Organization, Employments, Government, and Authorities of Schools by James Pyle Wickersham. Cover is brown and the title and design has faded. Edges and corners are frayed. The bottom portion of the binding is missing. There is a white stain on the right side of the front cover. Binding is weak, but pages are still attached. There are markings throughout the book as well as doodles on the last few pages. Book is 366 pages. 
2722 2016-FIC-189 Book Ray's Arithmetic, Part Second A Thorough Course  of Mental Arithmetic, by Induction and Analysis by Joseph Ray. Cover is brown with dark brown text and borders. The cover design is simple and contains the books information. The binding is dark leather and weak, but the pages are still attached. Edges and corners are worn. Pages have experienced some stains, but are in good condition. Book is 160 pages. 
2723 2016-FIC-190 Book The Scholar's Companion; Containing Exercises in the Orthography, Deribation, and Classification of English Words by Rufus W. Bailey. Cover is black and binding is green leather. The top portion of the binding is missing. Binding is strong and pages are firmly attached. The outside of the pages are an orange color. "Martin L. Grant" is stamped on the first couple of pages. Book is 312 pages including the index. 
2724 2016-FIC-191 Book Paragraph-Writing A Rhetoric for Colleges by Fred Newton Scott and Joseph Williers Denney. Cover is green with dark green text and borders. The cover is simple with an abbreviated title and simple border. Binding is strong and pages are firmly attached. "Wilma Gefte 2423 Tremoak St. Cedar Falls, Iowa" is written on the first page. Book is in excellent condition. Book is 468 pages including the index. 
2725 2016-FIC-192 Book Everyday Problems of the Country Teacher by Frank Lowth. Cover is red with no design. The binding has an abbreviated title written in gold. Edges and corners are slightly frayed. The back cover has white markings. Binding is strong and firmly attached. The back interior cover says, "Helen A. Anderson 521 Prospect St. Trinidad, Colo." Book is 563 pages including the index. 
2726 2016-FIC-194 Book Recollections of a New England Educator 1838-1908 by William A. Mowry. Cover is green with gold text for the title and authors last name. The cover is simple and does not contain any designs. The title and author's last name is also on the binding. Edges and corners are worn, but the binding is strong. The first page is detached, but the remaining pages are firmly attached. There are notes on the back interior cover written in pencil, but are very faded and difficult to read. Book is 292 pages including the index. 
2727 2016-FIC-195 Book Poll Book School Election for unknown district. Booklet is tan with black text that has information to fill in on the front page. The following information is listed on the front cover: (Special or Regular) Election, Precinct, Ward, Township, County, Iowa, Held, 194. The following pages contains pages with list of voters for the first half of the book and then a Tally List in the back of the book. The booklet has not been completed. 
2728 2016-FIC-245 Register A school register titled "White's New School Register." Book is from Hancock county, Twin Lake Township School #5. The dates range from 1915-1919. Record contains daily attandance as well as courses studied for each pupil. The teacher's name is also listed at the top of each page next to the term information.

Torgerson, an associate professor of education at the University of Wisconsin, and M.F. Matthies, an assistant superintendent of schools for Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Published by the E. M. Hale & Company, Milwaukee, 1938. "7 grade" is written on the top right corner of the cover in pencil. Booklet contains practice problems for fractions, decimals, and percentages. It is thirty-two pages with five cycles. 
2750 2016-FIC-269 Booklet Booklet titled "Teacher's Manual for the Learning Cycle Diagnostic Tests in Arithmetic" by T.L. Torgerson, an associate professor of education at the University of Wisconsin, and M.F. Matthies, an assistant superintendent of school in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Published by the E. M. Hale & Company, Milwaukee, 1938. There is a stamp on the cover that says, "Order from Phillips School Service Mason City, Iowa Choice Books for Children." There are practice examples with answers in the back. Booklet is 71 pages. 
2751 2016-FIC-271 Booklet Booklet titled, "School Service Record of Achievement and Attendance."  It is from Hancock County, Twin Lake Township, Schoolhouse #4. The booklet contains daily attendance records, grades, and a summary report. It is dated September 3, 1945-May 17, 1946. 
2752 2016-FIC-272 Report A report of "classification, standing, advancement, and attendance" from Hancock County, Twin Lake Township, Schooldistrict #4. It is dated September 3, 1945-May 17, 1946. The page appears to have been removed from an entire book. The teacher was Mr. Tom Delger and there were nine pupils in the schoolhouse. The back is a teachers annual report to the county superintendent and secretary.

2754 2016-FIC-274 Report A report of "classification, standing, advancement, and attendance" from Hancock County, Twin Lake Township, Schooldistrict #6. It is dated September 4, 1944-May 24, 1945. The page appears to have been removed from an entire book. The teacher was Lois Meyer and there were eleven pupils in the schoolhouse. The back is a teachers annual report to the county superintendent and secretary.
2755 2016-FIC-275 Ballot Election ballot from Twin Lake in Hancock County. The ballot is dated June 6, 1960. It is divided into eleven sections. Each section is filled with numbers between zero and three. Three election officers signed at the bottom. The back side is completely blue. 
2756 2016-FIC-276 Certificate A 4-H Club Charter certificate awarded by the United States Department of Agriculutre and State Colleges of Agriculutre to Avery-Twin Lake Hustlers 4-H Club. There are seven logos at the bottom and one is covered by a gold sticker. 
2757 2016-FIC-277 Certificate A "citation for Iowa 4-H Camping Center Initial Contribution" presented to Avery Hustlers 4-H Club for the initial contributin of $5.00. It is signed by the president and secretary. Certificate is dated March 28, 1950. A petite green and white ribbon is placed on the bottom left corner that contains the 4-H Club Pledge. 
2758 2016-FIC-278 Approval Document A piece of paper titled, "National 4-H Club Center" that contains a list of signatures from witnesses and foundation members recognizing the Avery-Twin Lake Hustlers as a legitimate division of the 4-H Club. A notary seal is stamped on the bottom left side page. 
2759 2016-FIC-279 Pamphlet A pamplet titled "4-H Electric National Awards Program." The objectives are listed on the bottom of the front page. The pamplet discusses the benefits of the 4-H Electric Program. It's a brief describition on how to design and build an exhibit. It also provides information of county and national awards. 
2760 2016-FIC-281 Pamphlet A pamphlet titled, "How to Build an Electric Motor." The front page discusses the history of the electric motor and how it works. The inside provides a diagram on how to build a motor along with a section on things to do with motors and other aspects to know. The last page discusses motors in the modern time. 
2761 2016-FIC-286 Magazine Magazine titled, "Our Public Lands: Alaska Rebuilds!" The magazine discusses the history of Alaska, the anatomy of an earthquake, building a railroad, and wildlife and public lands. The booklet is twenty-four pages and contains black and white images. A green sticker was holding the pages together on the right side, but was torn open. The corners on the right side are bent.
