Skirt of slip white nainsook, 3" insertion of filet crocheting 11" from bottom. 5" flounce of same filet crocheting. Registration in hem above flounce. Color: WH,YL
52	1974.65.1	Blouse	Woman's. Dress blouse type. Black lace antique. Black lace is entirely underlined with dark purple silk. Fitted blouse has 17 buttons down front, slight peplum effect at waistline. Blouse has tan lining, bones in front, side and back seams. Lace has scalloped edge along bottom, extending 2 1/2" below hem of blouse. Band collar opens at front. Straight sleeves, 2" slits outside of each sleeve. Silk insert on front of blouse, 3" shirring at top, 5" shirring at waist. Right side of insert is attached to blouse, left side open. (Registration inside left shoulder seam). Satin of waist is discolored and now purple. Lace is torn and discolored. Color: BK,PR

When folded up the front flap has an "S" embroidered in light blue over cord. On each side of the "S" are pink and blue embroidered flowers with green stems and leaves. Color: TN,BL,PK

Connected by small braided rope to 8 small circular symbols. 4 small star-shaped symbols located approximately 1/2" under the circular symbols with tassels hanging from them. 4 large oblong woven symbols with 2 tassels hanging from each one. Top 3" of skirt is woven braids forming a belt line. Small braided ropes at either end used to tie the skirt around the body. Bottom portion of skirt is loose grass hanging down.
